Terms and Conditions

By booking, attending, or purchasing any service offered by MethodKit (including workshops, private mentorship, and digital resources), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a professional, safe, and respectful environment and to protect both participants and MethodKit.

1. About MethodKit

MethodKit provides acting workshops, private mentorship, and educational resources for actors based in London. All services are educational in nature. Participation does not guarantee employment, representation, auditions, visas, or any specific career outcome.

2. Application & Booking Process

MethodKit operates at a deliberately limited capacity. Groups are kept small to protect the quality, focus, and standard of the training environment, ensuring individual attention and a disciplined, professional atmosphere.

We are selective about who joins. We are committed to building a room of serious, consistent actors who are ready to train and contribute to a strong collective energy. The quality of the group shapes the quality of the work.

The booking process is as follows:

  • Apply — Submit a short application form.

  • Review — Applications are assessed to ensure the training is the right fit. You will hear back within 24 hours.

  • Payment — If accepted, you will receive a secure payment link via Stripe.

  • Confirmed — Your place is secured once payment is completed.

All 4-week and 2-week blocks must be paid in full before the start date. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis following acceptance.

Participants must be 18 years or older, unless otherwise stated.

Bookings are for the named participant only and may not be transferred without prior written consent.

4. Drop-In Sessions

MethodKit offers introductory drop-in sessions designed for actors who want to experience MethodKit without committing to a full 4-week block. Drop-in sessions are subject to availability and must be booked in advance via the application process. Drop-in bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.

5. Attendance

Participants are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Late arrivals may not be admitted, and no refunds or credits will be issued.

Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in you being marked as unreliable. After three such instances, MethodKit reserves the right to refuse future bookings.

6. Cancellations, Refunds & No-Shows

All bookings are final. No refunds or credits are offered for cancellations, non-attendance, or late arrivals.

If you are unable to attend, you are encouraged to notify MethodKit in advance as a courtesy; however, this does not entitle you to a refund or credit.

Where MethodKit cancels a session, participants will be offered either an alternative date or a full refund.

7. Location & Schedule Changes

Sessions are primarily held in Marylebone, London. Workshop dates, times, and locations may occasionally change due to studio availability or unforeseen circumstances. Where a location change occurs, sessions will remain within Central London.

If any changes occur, participants will be notified as soon as possible — and no less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled session — via the email address provided at the time of booking.

Where MethodKit cancels a session entirely, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

8. Private Mentorship Sessions

Private mentorship sessions are offered by enquiry only and take place online via Zoom. Sessions are scheduled after a mutually agreed date and time. Payment is required in advance to secure the agreed session time. Mentorship is charged per hour.

Once booked and paid for, mentorship sessions are non-refundable. Requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may be refused.

MethodKit reserves the right to refuse or discontinue mentorship at its discretion.

9. Digital Products & Resources

Digital products (including but not limited to agent lists, PDFs, and downloadable resources) are non-refundable once delivered. All digital resources are provided for personal use only. You may not share, resell, reproduce, distribute, or publish any digital materials without prior written permission.

While reasonable care is taken to ensure accuracy, MethodKit does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or ongoing validity of third-party information.

10. Code of Conduct

MethodKit is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment. All participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully at all times.

MethodKit reserves the right to remove any participant from a session without refund if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, or negatively impacts others. This includes, but is not limited to: harassment, discrimination, intoxication, aggressive behaviour, or repeated disregard for workshop guidelines.

11. Health & Safety

Participation in workshops and sessions is at your own risk. Activities may involve physical and emotional exercises. You are responsible for managing your own physical and emotional well-being.

Please inform MethodKit in advance of any injuries, access requirements, or relevant medical conditions. Comfortable clothing and water are recommended.

12. Professional Disclaimer

MethodKit provides education, training, and mentorship only. MethodKit does not act as an employment agency, casting service, or talent representative. No guarantees are made regarding employment, representation, auditions, visas, or career outcomes.

13. Intellectual Property

All workshop content, exercises, mentorship frameworks, materials, and digital resources are the intellectual property of MethodKit. Recording, photographing, reproducing, or distributing session content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

14. Media & Recordings

Sessions may occasionally be photographed or filmed for promotional or educational purposes. Participants will be informed in advance and given the opportunity to opt out.

15. Privacy & Data Protection

Bookings and payments are processed via third-party platforms (including Stripe) and are subject to their respective privacy policies. MethodKit does not store payment card details.

Personal data is used only for essential communication related to services. MethodKit does not sell or share personal data with third parties. You may request removal from the contact list at any time by emailing mthkitpro@gmail.com.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, MethodKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is unlawful.

17. Force Majeure

MethodKit shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, illness, fire, flood, strikes, government restrictions, pandemics, or failure of third-party services.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

19. Amendments

MethodKit reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be published on the website.
